Description

New Orleans, 12 May 1912. Father Thomas Lorente, O.P. celebrates Mass at the Mannessier's Pavilion building (formerly used as a dance hall) at West End.

Building was used as temporary church until the completion of the Ave Maria Chapel, the first Roman Catholic Church in the Lakeview/Lakefront section of town, was completed later that year.
