Português: Mascarados é uma manifestação folclórica de Pirenópolis, Goiás, que a acontece durante as Cavalhadas de Pirenópolis, na Festa do Divino de Pirenópolis. Usando roupas extravagantes e máscaras com caras de animais, montados a cavalo ou mesmo a pé, os mascarados saem fazendo algazarras pelas ruas da cidade, como uma maneira de espantar os espíritos do mal. Os mascarados são figuras de muita importância na festa, graças à sua beleza, evolução e o colorido de suas roupas.
English: Mascarados is a folkloric manifestation from Pirenópolis, Goiás, which takes place during the Cavalhadas de Pirenópolis, at the Festa do Divino de Pirenópolis. Wearing extravagant clothes and masks with the faces of animals, mounted on horseback or even on foot, the masked ones go out making racket through the streets of the city, as a way to scare away evil spirits. The masquerades are very important figures at the party, thanks to their beauty, evolution and the color of their clothes.
