Others have been found to deteriorate fromveins of silver to those of baser metals. ADDITIONAL FACTS AND STATISTICS. The director of the mint at Washington furnishes a table showingthe worlds production of gold and silver for 1881, 1882, and 1883.The reader can readily learn from it the place which the United Statesoccupies among the nations as a producer of the precious metals.
