Deutsch: Schulleiter Martin Luserke (1880–1968) inmitten von Schülern des reformpädagogischen Landerziehungsheims Schule am Meer im Loog auf der ostfriesischen Insel Juist in Preußen. Sie sitzen auf der Treppe vor dem Eingang der 1930/31 durch den Berliner Architekten Bruno Ahrends (1878–1948) errichteten Bühnenhalle. Bei dem Schüler ganz links mit Hockeyschläger handelt es sich um Ulrich Sild (* 4. Juli 1911 in Wien, Österreich-Ungarn; † 9. Mai 1937 am Hochschwab in der Steiermark, Bundesstaat Österreich), der jährlich Bergsteiger- und Skitouren der S.a.M. in den Dolomiten führte.
English: Headmaster Martin Luserke (1880–1968) amid students of progressive boarding-school Schule am Meer (School by the Sea) on the East Frisian island Juist in Prussia. All are sitting on the stairs in front of the entrance of the school's unique separate stage hall, erected by Berlin-based architect Bruno Ahrends (1878–1948) in 1930/31. The student on the far left with a hockey stick is Ulrich Sild (* 4 July, 1911 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary; † 9 May, 1937 at Hochschwab (mountain) in Styria, Austria), who led annual mountaineering and ski tours of S.a.M. to the Dolomites. |
