English: Celtic cross at the Matauri Bay beach public car park. Originally erected at Oihi, Rangihoua Bay, in 1907. Damaged by storm in 1933. Placed at Matauri Bay in 1971, as Samuel Marsden first set foot on the mainland of New Zealand there. |
