Description
English: Seattle Mayor Ed Murray (center) poses with Capt. Alissa Tarsiuk (left), Gunnery Sgt. Travis Bouten, Maj. Ryan Hunt and Sgt. Benjamin Tilley following a Marine Week Seattle press conference at Seattle City Hall, May 7, 2014. Marine Week Seattle is a community relations event that will be held in Seattle, July 26-Aug. 3. It will provide Washingtonians an opportunity to interact and become acquainted with the Marine Corps as America's expeditionary force in readiness. During the event, citizens will have the opportunity to view state-of-the-art static aircraft and ground equipment displays, military technology, combat weaponry and the Marine Corps Band. Marines will support community service projects and conduct a variety of demonstrations, including the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program and a simulated full-scale combat scenario. Tarsiuk, from Kent, Wash., is a projects officer with Marine Corps Installations Command at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va. Bouten, 31, from Spokane, Wash., is an explosive ordnance disposal technician with 1st EOD Company at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. Hunt, 34, from Grand Coulee, Wash., is an infantry advisor with the Tactical Training Exercise Control Group at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif. Tilley, 27, from Burley, Idaho, is a recruiter with Marine Corps Recruiting Substation Spokane, Wash. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Reece Lodder)
