| Description |
Deutsch: Hochaltar der röm.-kath. Pfarr- und Wallfahrtskirche hll. Maria und Oswald in der oberösterreichischen Gemeinde Maria Neustift. Der Gnadenaltar wurde urkundlich in den Jahren 1688 bis 1690 errichtet. Er wurde mehrmals verändert, zuletzt 1908. Die fast lebensgroße Statue „Maria mit dem Kinde“, ein bedeutendes und fein empfundenes Werk aus dem Jahr 1450, ist von einem zierlichen Strahlenkranz und einem lebhaften Engelreigen umgeben. Seitlich befinden sich die Figuren St. Florian sowie St. Georg und auf den Säulenkapitellen die Figuren St. Benedikt sowie St. Berthold. |
