Summary[edit]
DescriptionMap Lichen - Flickr - pellaea.jpg |
Scientific Name: Rhizocarpon eupatraeum (Nyl.) Arnold Common Name: Map Lichen Certainty: pretty sure (notes) Location: Canadian Rockies; Wells Gray Provincial Park; Edgewood Blue Date: 20080426 This species is supposed to have 4 spores per ascus, but mine has 8. But the chemistry and other details all match perfectly. I used Nash's Flora of the Greater Sonoran Region, which admittedly doesn't cover British Columbia in full detail. ;) |
