ariety carried off first prize for the twelve best blooms of pinkat Philadelphia, the specimens shown measuring nine and one-half inches across. Judge Hoitt. The greatest break in seedlings of recent years;an anemone fully eight inches across; color, pale pearl pink;the outer petals are broad and incurving, some three rows indepth. These form a saucer, enclosing a broad disk of centralflorets of wide open trumpet shape which rise and fill theflower into rounded form from side to side. A nice free grower,and of very easy management. Miss Lydia Hopkins. Flowers extremely large, perfectly double ;whorled and incurving in form, broad petals, gradually becomingerect; color, white irregularly suffused with bright pink; notwo flowers marked just alike. (Olden Wedding. (% NATTJBAIi SIZE.) This is undoubtedly the grandest golden yellow variety ever in-troduced and is the marvel of the period. Nothing can exceed therichness of its color; it is unrivaled in this respect. It is a re-markably vigorous grower and has such strength of stem that itcarries its great globular flowers erect, giving it a bold majesticappearance. The form of Golden Wedding is unique; the outerpetals droop downward in picturesque irregularity, the centre ofthe flowers is built high, with broad petals irregularly overlaid, sothat although the flowers are so large they are not heavy, solid-looking like many others. For this reason alone, it will, no doubt,supersede all other yellow varieties with the public. This grandvariety has been awarded the highest honors wherever exhibited.When first shown in Philadelphia, in the fall of 1891, it was givena silver medal; exhibiced there the past season the judges unani-mously pronounced it the finest yellow in existence.
