| Description |
English: As seen in December 2020: to the south of the original portion of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church complex, containing its main worship space, are the Mansperger Chapel (left to center), built in 1958, and the Henrich Bell Tower, dating to 1967. Both are interesting examples of midcentury ecclesiastical architecture in Buffalo; the former with the abstract dalle-de-verre patterns on its rectangular stained-glass windows, the latter comprising a striking Modernist take on openwork design that was the brainchild of Shelgren, Patterson & Marzec, an architectural firm that, paradoxically, was one of first in Buffalo to specialize in historic preservation. |
