Summary[edit]

Description

Cityscape panorama triptych of the West Side of Manhattan taken from Weehawken, NJ on Saturday, September 26 (the night before the lunar eclipse). The top panorama was taken during the golden hour, about an hour before sunset. The middle panorama is right after sunset, just as the lights of the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building had turned on. As well, the moon had started to rise. The bottom panorama is taken during the peak of the blue hour, about 45 minutes after sunset. Wonderful clouds this evening, and a beautiful red Empire State Building.

Many couples and families were out walking in the park and enjoying the view of Manhattan this fine evening.

Each panorama is a combination of 10 or so overlapping portrait exposures. The overlap was about 60%, which is a little more than needed.
