| Description |
English: Malton Gate. This southerly facing photograph is looking down the northern end of Malton Gate. The viewpoint was in front of 'Ye Old Corner Shoppe' on the north-western corner of the 441947 in the village centre.
The road in the immediate foreground is the A170. To the west (right) this is called Pickering Road and to the right (east) it is called 441929. The tree and buildings beyond are in an area called The Square. The building (on a slip road between Chestnut Avenue and Malton Gate) is called The Forge and - housing a tea room, 442464. On the right of the photograph is the New Inn, a public house and just beyond that is a shop (with the blinds) called 442195.
