Façade de maison de style art nouveau dans le rue Félix Faure Cette petite maison populaire a été construite en 1907 par l'architecte César Pain (1872-1946) dans le lotissement de la rue Félix Faure à proximité de l'établissement thermal de Nancy. Durant plusieurs années, ces maisons ont été louées à des curistes. Au début du 20ème siècle, les vertus curatives des eaux chaudes de Nancy Thermal ont été utilisées et ont joui d’une renommée certaine : elles ont été mises en bouteille et bénéficié d’une autorisation d’exploiter en 1911 suite à la reconnaissance par l’Académie de Médecine de leur valeur thérapeutique. Dès 1913, de nombreux curistes régionaux goûtent aux bienfaits de l’eau thermo-minérale de Nancy. Les projets de développement de l’établissement thermal de l’époque ne se sont pas concrétisés du fait de la disparition prématurée du promoteur de ce site, Louis Lanternier, qui est mort au cours de la première guerre mondiale. L’activité thermale a même fini par disparaître. |
