Summary[edit]

Description A Maine National Guard Soldier from B Company, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Regiment (Mountain) rappels down the rock face of Eagle Bluff in Cliffton, Maine as part of a climbing drill exercise Saturday October 1, 2016. The unit conducted three training lanes on Saturday: a casualty evacuation lane, a climbing drill exercise and a rappelling exercise. This kind of training helps the mountain company maintain perishable skills needed for traversing mountainous terrain during missions. (Photo by Sgt. Sarah Myrick, 121st Public Affairs Detachment)
