Description
English: Painting of Sri Tin Maharaj Bhim Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana, who ruled Nepal from 26th November 1929 until his death on 1 September 1932, making him the sixth ruler of the Rana Dynasty of Nepal. He was born on 16 April 1865.

Maharaj Bhim Shumsher held the following titles some of which are displayed in this photograph: T’ung-ling-ping-ma-Kuo-Kang-wang (Republic of China), Maharaja of Lambjung and Kaski (Nepal), GCSI (01.01.1931), KCSI (01.01.1917), GCMG (22.12.1931), KCVO (24.12.1911), and Supradipta Manyabara Commander-in-Chief.

Maharaj Bhim Shumsher was awarded the following military titles some of which are displayed in this photograph: Field Marshal of Nepalese Army on 26 November 1929; Honorary Major General of British Army on 4 April 1930, Honorary Colonel of the 4th Prince of Wales’s Gurkha Rifles on 4 April 1930, Honorary General of the Chinese Army on 23 February 1932. He was also awarded the Grand Master of the Most Refulgent Order of the Star of Nepal.
