Una missione del Seicento alla scoperta della Georgia Vent' anni fa, nel 1987, il gemellaggio fra l' allora città sovietica di Tbilisi e Palermo rendeva brevemente visibile la figura di due monaci palermitani vissuti nel XVII secolo, Francesco Maria Maggio e Cristoforo Castelli. In una targa affissa in via dell' Università, in italiano e in esotici caratteri georgiani i due teatini sono ricordati come «messaggeri di amicizia e cultura». |
