Inscription[edit]
The monument is raised at the battle site of Portes ("Πόρτες") outside the village of Prosilio ("Προσήλιο") near Servia, Greece
The inscription written is in Greek: "ΕΙΣ ΜΝΗΜΗΝ ΤΩΝ ΕΝΤΑΥΘΑ ΗΡΩΙΚΩΣ ΠΕΣΟΝΤΩΝ ΑΞ/ΚΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΟΠΛΙΤΩΝ. ΟΚΤΩΒΡΙΟΣ 1912"
The inscription reads in English: "In the memory of the here heroically fallen officers and hoplites (soldiers). October 1912"
