Summary[edit]

Description

"Sundance" is a new kid on the block. She has taken over the anchor place from "Saga Queen", " Sundance", was specially built to sail the harbour in Portsmouth UK as a Gosport Ferry (I'll see if i can find some old pictures). She was built at James & Stone Ltd., Brightlingsea, England, in 1971 - and she was baptised "Gay Enterprise"! =D, however in 1979, she was renamed " Solent Enterprise".

Trivia: (translated from www.cafesundance.dk/2-om-cafe-sundance.html) M/S Sundance first sailed Gosport - Portsmouth, as a ferry, she then sailed on the Thames as a Party Ship. The current(?) owners bought the ship in 2008 and re-built it into a luxury accommodation as a houseboat. Until March 2011 the ship was as a private residence in the center of Copenhagen, and then it was shipped to Svendborg to be converted into a cafe and "Bed & Breakfast". The living area is approx. 500 square meters.

The ship is seaworthy and it's driven by Schottler propulsion system. Two engines provides respectively 275 and 525 hp. There are three generators on board, which together can provide 130 KWH. The vessel is insulated for year-round use. In addition to central heating, there are three fireplaces onboard, each of which can provide 14 KWH.
