Summary[edit]

Description
English: MV Maumee, built 1929, previously called William G. Clyde and Calcite II, unloading in Holland, Michigan. As of 2010, it was the second-oldest operating lake freighter (the oldest is the 1906-built St Mary's Challenger) Scrapped 2011 James De Young Power Plant was built in 1939, and is the main power supply for the city of Holland. Units 1 and 2 are no longer used, Unit 3 was built in 1953, Unit 4 was built in 1961 and Unit 5 was built in 1968.
