Axial T2-weighted images of ulnar nerve branches at the wrist

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Three patients are compared using magnetic resonance neurography: left has Guyon's canal syndrome (GCS) with motor nerve involement; middle has GCS with sensory and motor nerve involvement, and right is a control asymptomatic patient. Image slices are visualized at positions A, B, C. At A we see the deep motor branch circled in red. At B we see just distal to the bifurcation of the ulnar nerve where the motor branch (red) and sensory branch (greed) are circled. At C we see the ulnar nerve trunk circled in yellow. The images are T2-weighted where pathological nerves will appear hyperintense (bright) and normal nerves will appear dark.
