Description

Fotografia portretowa grupowa przedstawiająca uczniów w strojach odświętnych I klasy szkoły podstawowej, działającej przy zakładach Karola Scheiblera, wraz z nauczycielką. Pod zdjęciem odręczna adnotacja o treści „Szkoła Podstawowa Scheiblerowska I klasa – rok 1908”

Szkoła wybudowana w 1876 r. prawdopodobnie według projektu Hilarego Majewskiego, znajdowała się na osiedlu przyfabrycznym na Księżym Młynie. Była placówką przeznaczoną dla pracowników zakładów Karola Scheiblera, pierwszą tego typu w Łodzi. Po II wojnie światowej mieściły się w niej Zespól Szkół Handlowych Nr 2 w Łodzi i Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych Nr 11.
