English:

An Allied Victory medal, featuring Victory on the obverse and the legend THE GREAT / WAR FOR / CIVILISATION / 1914 - 1919 within a wreath on the reverse. A suspension ring remains attached at the top. The edge is inscribed MAJOR B M JONES (the name of the regiment or corps was omitted on medals awarded to Army officers).

This type of medal was granted to all those who served in any theatres of operations between 5 August 1914 and 11 November 1918 and who received the 1914 or 1914-15 Star and the British War Medal. It was never awarded alone.
