English: W. Faden's English edition of J. Cruz Cano y Olmedilla's map illustrating Spanish-Portuguese territorial disputes in South America. Published on six sheets.
Includes a statement of the responsibility note referring to the original edition of the map, published in 1775 in Madrid (see Maps K.Top.124.12.2 TAB.). Includes administrative subdivisions, cities, towns, villages, missionaries, archbishoprics, bishoprics, rivers and mountain ranges. Includes extensive keys. Includes references to demarcation lines drawn during territorial disputes between Spain and Portugal (text copied from the original map). Relief shown by hachuring. Prime meridians: Madrid, London, Paris and Ferro.
