Deutsch: Ehemalige Nike-Hercules-Raketenstellung zwischen Mülheim und Reetz (beide Orte in der Gemeinde Blankenheim, Eifel, NRW), Luftaufnahme (2015), wunderbare Aufnahme. Gut zu erkennen sind die 3 x 3 Abschussplätze samt Hallen im rechten bzw. hinteren Bereich der Stellung. Man kann auch eine doppelte Umzäunung erkennen, die sich - vom Wachtgebäude (vorne Mitte) mit dem großen Turm ausgehend - um den vorderen rechten Bereich mit zwei Abschussplätzen erstreckt. An seinem rechten hinteren Ende steht der zweite Wachtturm, ein dritter befindet sich vorne rechts außerhalb des Bildes. In diesem besonders gesicherten Bereich befanden sich zwei Bunker mit insgesamt zehn Atomsprengköpfen für die Nike-Raketen: dort wo 211 draufsteht und sowie ein Stück weiter vorne. Direkt daneben ist jeweils noch mal 211 auf dem Betonboden zu sehen und diente als Landemarke für die Transporthubschrauber vom Typ CH-47 Chinook, die die Atomsprengköpfe direkt an den Bunkern ablieferten bzw. abholten. Diese Transporte geschahen auch während der Betriebszeit und gingen ins zentrale Atomwaffenlager nach Ramstein, wo die nuklearen Sprengköpfe gewartet wurden. Auf dem Wachtgebäude ist ein großes weißes Dreieck zu sehen, das in Richtung der Hubschrauber-Landeplätze zeigt. Innerhalb des besonders gesicherten Bereichs gibt es etliche verbunkerte Kampfstellungen, die es zusätzlich unmöglich machen sollten, an die Atomwaffen zu gelangen. Diese Raketenstellung wurde von einem belgischen Batallion bedient, die Atomsprengköpfe standen allein unter Aufsicht der US-Army. (sdo216, 2019-08) |
