Description
English: Louisa Chu Chu Gilman (November 13, 1828 – November 30, 1909), with her daughter Eva Brickwood. Her mother was Kamoku and her father was Nahili or Kaniliaulaninui, descendant of Kualii, a chief of Oahu. She was adopted by John Neddles Anthony Chu Chu Gilman, a Cherokee, and Louisa Pi'ilani Po'okui, a Hawaiian. Her adoptive surname name Chu Chu is not Chinese but of Cherokee origin. She married twice to Chung Hung or Ahung and later Arthur Peter Brickwood.
