Summary[edit]

Description Lot 9609-37: Royal Navy (British) during the First World War. A Sopwith Camel plane vertically stowed on board Royal Navy V-class destroyer Vega before a raid on German zeppelin sheds. Vega served in the North Sea during WWII and was scrapped in March 1947. Collection was transferred from a British government source in 1920 to the Library of Congress. (9/18/2015).
