Summary[edit]

Description Lot 9437-14: Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor, 7 December 1941. The Japanese will have a hard time making another landing on the Hawaiian coast. Cleverly camouflaged heavy field artillery guns like this one now cover the entire island’s shore line. The weapon with its camouflage of paint and canopy of old rags looks like just another rock from the air but Hawaiian gunners are anxious to let it do its stuff in a return engagement with the Japanese. Photograph released February 1942, by Office of War Information. (2015/11/20). Note, the image is a photostat.
