| Description |
Behind the Media Centre which overlooks the playing area of the Lords Cricket Ground is the practise area ( The Nets ) which is called The Nursery End. This may refer to the belief that there was a Nursery on the land that Thomas Lord acquired in 1840 or to the fact that this is where all young players develop their skills in the hope of becoming professional players but on match days this is a wonderful place to enjoy lunch or tea during breaks in the game. I watched this young mum playing with her baby before returning to her pushchair and thought of the title, all I had to do then was capture the image to go with it. I thought it turned out quite well. I hope you agree. |
