Português: O Instituto de Engenharia Biomédica da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (IEB-UFSC) é hoje reconhecido no país e na América Latina como uns dos principais pólos de desenvolvimento tecnológico aplicado à área da Saúde. O IEB-UFSC contribui anualmente para a formação de dezenas de pesquisadores e profissionais capacitados a atuar na melhoria dos Sistemas de Saúde do país. O Instituto atua para melhorar a qualidade de vida da população através de seus estudos e pesquisas científicas nas áreas de Bioengenharia, Engenharia Clínica, Informática em Saúde, Instrumentação Biomédica, entre outras. |
