Summary[edit]
DescriptionLogitech Logimouse Cable 1983.jpg |
English: The LogiMouse (1983) was Logitech's second generation mouse and was sold to computer manufacturers for $99 each. It was designed by Anoine Cahen and had a resolution of 200 steps per inch. InfoWorld August 8, 1983, Page 21.
The cable configuration was for the FutureNet schematic design workstation. The system used an IBM PC (Model 5150) with a custom graphics board (640 by 360 pixels). The larger Amp connector attached both the mouse and the output of the IBM monochrome text video board to the custom FutureNet graphics board. The standard text could be routed to the CRT display when the schematic editor was not in use. Introduced in early 1983, the software, graphics board and mouse sold for $6000. The complete system with an IBM PC and a dot matrix printer sold for $13,000. IEEE Micro April 1983 Page 66. FutureNet originally used a Hawley Model X063X mouse before switching to the LogiMouse InfoWorld February 21, 1983. Pages 26-29. |
