Summary[edit]

Description
English: A log stump floats down the Chena River in between Graehl Park and the Tanana Chiefs Conference main campus in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska. Heavy rains, which can be seen falling in this photo, caused the river to swell nearly to its banks; the Chena River Flood Control Project, constructed following the 1967 flood, kept the river from overflowing. A number of events of the Golden Days festial which occur on the river were cancelled or postponed due to water levels.
