Summary[edit]

Description Lockheed test pilot Tony LeVier in the first XP-80A; 44-83021. On March 16, 1945 the turbine wheel exploded on this aircraft and Tony had to bail out and severely hurt his back. This one, known as the "Gray Ghost" had caused him to make an emergency landing on its very first flight.
