| Description |
English: Lock gates at Sharpness dock These lock gates separate the tidal basin from the 'new dock' area at Sharpness docks. The sea lock at Sharpness is heavily tide dependant and is available for only a very restricted time period around high tide. Boats have to wait in the basin for the turn of the tide in the Severn estuary and take the ebb to Avonmouth or beyond. |
