DescriptionLloyd Hartnett 1957 (5422793737).jpg |
I was hoping for better clarity of the conversion to right hand drive, but it seems pretty well hidden in this picture. What we have here is a 600cc two cylinder engine with overhead cam, rack and pinion steering and an all synchromesh four speed transmission, with a column shift. Sir Laurence Hartnett, father of the Holden car, imported components to build Lloyd cars in 1957 in a plant at Kangaroo Point, Queensland. I found a few pictures related to this brief operation. |
