This orphan bobcat Liberty was named and saved in memory of 9/11 victims.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: In 2001 an orphaned Bobcat kitten was brought to the Morgan Hill Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center. It was determined that her birthday was on or near 9/11 so the staff and volunteers named her "Liberty" in memory of the lives lost that day. She was successfully released at eight months of her age. This bronze sculpture depicts her first leap to freedom before swimming across a pond and disappear into the forest.
