Description
Deutsch: Der letzte Pferde-Postwagen fährt im August 1905 vom Posthof des Postamtes Hohenlimburg, Herrenstraße. Zeitenwechsel bei der Reichspost, statt Pferde nun Motorisierung. Durch die Hohenlimburger Industrie gab es hier schon 1905 einen weltumspannenden Briefverkehr bis Indien und Rußland sowie Paketsendungen in ganz Europa. 1910 mussten immerhin schon 5 Millionen ein- und ausgehende Briefe, 250.000 Pakete und 226.000 Telegramme von 46 Beamten bewältigt werden.
