Leotoon Temple of Apollo

| Description |
English: A replica of a well-preserved mosaic in the floor of the temple, the original is in the museum in Fethiye.
There are three temples next to each other, according to an inscription built by King Arbinas in the end of the 5th century. The best preserved - and having two tall pillars and a shorter one still standing - is dedicated to Leto. Next to it is a smaller temple, greatly destroyed, of Artemis. The Apollo one is somewhat larger and slightly better preserved. The latter two were used as a quarry to get stones for the church next to them. |
