Deutsch: Gruppenbild von einer der vielen Imkerversammlungen, die der österreichisch-ungarische Imker Leopold Gombocz (1875–1943) in seiner Großimkerei in Laafeld bei Radkersburg (Steiermark) regelmäßig veranstaltete, hier im Jahr 1930. Leopold Gombocz sitzt in der Mitte der ersten Reihe, rechts neben ihm seine Lebensgefährtin; davor die Tochter Elisabeth und seine Söhne, Johann und Ferdinand (von links nach rechts,die Kinder stammen aus seiner früheren Ehe, seine Frau verstarb 1929),. Hinter der Gruppe ist einer der von Gombocz entwickelten und angefertigten, speziellen Bienenwagen zu sehen. aber auch Bauernkollegen dazu anregte diese anzupflanzen, er belohnte sie mit Honig oder stellte die Robinienpflanzen zur Verfügung.Bei den schlanken Bäumen im Hintergrund handelt es sich um Robinien (Scheinakazie), die Gombocz zwecks Gewinnung von Akazienhonig bevorzugt auf eigenem Grund anpflanzte. |
