| Description | Not long after 0600 on Sunday 26 September 2021 it appears that a casualty fell from Leckhampton Hill, outside Cheltenham. A number of tents were seen at the top of the hill, and it seems that the casualty was one of the group who had camped close to the cliff top. A HM Coastguard helicopter was dispatched from Saint Athan, arriving at approximately 0645. After circling for 15 minutes, the AW189 rescue helicopter landed inside Leckhampton Hill Fort, above the abandoned quarry where the casualty was discovered. The casualty was finally loaded into the waiting aircraft at around 0800 before being evacuated to what is believed to be Bristol Hospital (based on FlightRadar24 data) |
