Description
Français : Médaille fondue (revers, 68mm) réalisée par Oscar Roty en 1881 pour le peintre Jules Eugène Lenepveu. Une femme nue personnifiant la Peinture (PITTURA) tient une palette et des pinceaux, à ses pieds un rouleau avec l'inscription: ROME. Né à Angers, XII décembre MDCCCXIX, Membre de l'Institut, ancien directeur de l'Académie de France à Rome. Hospices d'Angers peintures murales, martyre de St Saturnin, mort de Vitellius, Ste Dorothée marchant au supplice, les martyres aux catacombes. Sainte-Clotilde, plafond du nouvel Opéra, Église Saint-Ambroise (Paris). (Médaille issue de la collection de Roger Marx)
