English: This is a German camera Leica III SS 3 in a military version from WWII, together with a strongly enlarged section showing the type label of the Leica with model number, serial number, film format 18x24 mm and the human skull symbol "Totenkopf" of the SS (Schutzstaffel), together with the double Siegrune symbol 'SS' even in the model number. The original image description of the much larger source image was as follows:
