Summary[edit]

Description
English: Built in the late 19th Century, these Classical Revival and Italianate-style buildings feature a green-painted brick facade, replacement windows, cornices with dentils, pedimented parapets, decorative stone trim and window headers, and ground floor retail spaces, two of which have more modern cladding and storefronts. The Lehmann Building, built in the Classical Revival style, features a three-bay symmetrical second story facade with a large semi-circular transom over the central window, ionic and composite pilasters, cornices with dentils, a pediment over the central bay, and two busts of cows heads in decorative panels above the two side bays. The Union Block, built in 1877, features a bracketed cornice with dentils, blind arches at the seven window bays, decorative stone window lintels, a central decorative gabled parapet displaying the name of the building and the year it was built, and a partially intact historic first floor storefront at the north end of the building flanked by brick doric pilasters featuring a prism glass transom. The buildings are contributing structures in the Main Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
