English: Federico Faggin designed the Intel 4004, which became the world's first microprocessor in 1971. He visited Intel headquarters to talk about the 40th anniversary of 4004. He says the microprocessor is at the core of the Internet and the driver of the Information Age. But even if they evolve from today's mechanical make up into quantum structures, computers will not surpass the capabilities of human consciousness, but they will significantly help people understand the complex inner workings of the mind. |
