Summary[edit]

Description
English: This is a Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mark 1 rifle chambered in .303 British. The action on this well-used mil-surp is the best action I have ever felt on a rifle. I was lucky enough to be in the company of a friendly Australian man who knew much about Enfields when examining this fine rifle and he read the serial number (as most Aussies are fans of Enfields) and told me that it was a post-war model that came from the year 1949. I have been a fan of Enfields for a while now and I wanted to see the bore but I was hesitant about buying it because I couldn't see the rifling (didn't have my bore light) and the price was suspiciously low. He immediately grabbed the rifle and disassembled the bolt out of the rifle in one swift motion. The guy was an expert! I was shocked. He examined the rifling and handed it back to me. It was pristine. Maybe even never fired. He left, I put the bolt back in and considered putting it on layaway but didn't have enough money to put down a deposit. I had to put it back, and hopefully I get it soon. I can't remember but I think it was manufactured by Fazakerley. The only reason I uploaded this photo (it's not a particularly good photo and the magazine isn't even in the rifle) is because there are not many Enfield photos on here.
