| Description |
L'aire du Sony Center est située à proximité du parc Tiergarten, de la Potsdamer Platz, et du Kulturforum (au fond à gauche). Le Sony Center fait partie d'un ensemble de bâtiments construits par les plus grands architectes sur un immense terrain qui avait été rasé par les bombardements de la dernière guerre puis par le tracé du mur de Berlin. Le Sony Center est constitué de 8 bâtiments, transparents en acier et en verre, conçus en 1996-2000 par Helmut Jahn, architecte de Chicago. Ils se regroupent autour d'un forum ovale, pourvu de cafés, restaurants, cinémas, bureaux et musée du cinéma, le tout est recouvert d'un toit transparent dont la forme rappelle le mont Fuji. |
