English: Courtesy of the Grindlay family. Larry Waterbridge with Mara the lioness shortly after she was found. This photograph was taken in Africa by Irene Grindlay in 1965; both subjects and author are deceased. A copy of this image appeared in Irene's biographical account of Mara's early years titled Velvet Paws, 1966. As the original image was taken from the family album, please attribute to the late Irene and Douglas Grindlay of Kenya, Africa. On behalf of the surviving family members, thank you. See also [1]. |
