Notes The white fleur-de-lis, and the coat of arms formerly on the back, indicate that the painting was in the collection of Isabella Farnese, wife of Philip V, and in the 1746 inventory of the palace at La Granja it is listed as one of a pair by de Hondt. The whereabouts of the companion picture, which showed a battle scene with a Moor on horseback, is unknown.
