The riveting for the bottom barsIs arranged by applying the seam mold G on the watertight side ofthe center keelson, that is the outer row of holes is applied to therivet hole which comes in line with the frame holes. The other row of rivets is pitched eight diameters apart so that aspace mold is made for that purpose and applied to the plate, the hole in line of the frame holesbeing a guide for same. Lshows the mold used for thebutt holes; this mold is alsoused for marking the strapswith. The bottom and top anglesare marked with the samemolds as are used for thekeel and center keelson plates.The frame spacing is puton the bars same as on theplates. The center keelsonplate molds for the bottomwill represent the standingflange of the bottom anglesand the molds used for therivet holes through the keelwill be used for the flange to the keel plates.
