Description
English: Lake Champlain is a >500 square mile-sized, natural freshwater lake on the Vermont-New York State border in New England. This body of water had a saltwater precursor called the Champlain Sea at the end of the Pleistocene Ice Age. Before that, it was a glacial lake called Lake Vermont.
