English: O Lago Poopó na Bolívia é parte de uma bacia hidrográfica endorréica (que não desagua no mar) que se extende do Lago Titicaca ao Norte pelo Rio Desaguadero ao Lago Poopó e além a dois lagos salgados ao Sul, Salar de Coipasa e Salar de Uyuni. O lago esteve seco entre 1994 e 1997, e de acordo com os locais também secou no início dos 1940s e início dos 1970s. Em 2015 secou completamente mais uma vez e agora em 2018 existe o temor que isso aconteça novamente / Bolivia´s Poopó lake is part of an endorheic drainage (not drain into the sea) basin extending from Lake Titicaca in the north through Desaguadero River to Lake Poopó and further to two dry salt lakes in the south, Salar de Coipasa and Salar de Uyuni. Lake Poopó has been dry from 1994 to 1997, and, according to local people, it also got dry in the early 1940s and again in the early 1970s. In 2015 it dryed completelly again and now, 2018, there´s fear it´s happening again.
